Hardware Already Serving in the Field
DBL Design builds the drivetrain, wheel and suspension hardware that turns a commercial medium-duty chassis into a severe duty platform — the same components running under tactical, communications and rescue vehicles today. Over 11,000 units deployed worldwide across 43 countries, with more than 2,400 completed truck conversions behind them.

Military Grade Super Single Wheels
Forged aluminum super single wheels rated to 8,400 lbs, ITR military spec tested and SAE J1992 validated. A reversible bolt pattern fits Ford, Ram and Chevrolet platforms with no adapters, and internal double beadlocks let a crew air down without unseating a bead.
1-Piece Forged
Machined from a single billet with 15+ hours of machine time. Gear or sprocket face, machine finish or matte black.
2-Piece Bolt-Together
20x10 inner with 20x11 outer lip. Field-serviceable halves, 6,200+ units deployed in severe duty service.
Internal Double Beadlocks
Clamps the bead from inside the wheel. Runflat and rubber beadlock inserts available for mission-critical use.
Mounted Assemblies
Shipped mounted and balanced on Continental or Michelin 335/80R20 and 365/80R20 military pattern tires.

Trucks Running DBL Hardware
Upfitters and integrators build the mission body. We supply the chassis conversion underneath it — wheels, axles, gears, suspension and brakes sized for the finished weight.
Tactical Entry & Extraction Platform
A blacked-out Super Duty carrying a hydraulic assault ladder that raises off the service body roof, stabilized on four deployable outriggers. Blue blackout marker lighting runs the body line, and the truck sits on off-road tires over a severe duty front bumper with an integrated light bar.
Stowed & Stabilized
The same platform head-on with the stair stack folded flat over the cab and the front outriggers planted. Bed-lined bodywork, a steel front bumper with recovery points and light cutouts, and the ride height a conversion gives you for approach angle over curbs and berms.
Mobile SATCOM Vehicle
A black Super Duty with a roof-mounted AvL auto-deploy satellite antenna, front grille guard with integrated light bar and blue warning lights. It rides on beadlock-style super singles with military pattern tires — the weight of the mast and shelter is exactly what the 8,400 lb wheel rating is for.
Comms Shelter & Light Mast
A white shelter-body truck with a TCS dish raised off the roof and telescoping light masts staged alongside. Grille guard up front, super singles underneath — a base-support configuration that has to park, level and run for days.
Command & Response Vehicle
A white box-body command truck under way on a forest road, carrying a roof sensor and camera mast. Winch bumper with grille guard, and single wide wheels at all four corners for a stable footprint on soft surface roads.
Armored Personnel Vehicle
An Alpine Armoring tactical personnel vehicle in falling snow, riding on super single wheels with Continental military tread. Armor packages add thousands of pounds before payload — the reason wheel and axle ratings, not looks, drive the build.
Heavy Rescue & Recovery
A camouflage-wrapped Ram 5500 heavy rescue truck with a service body, deck crane, front winch and auxiliary lighting, running super singles on all four corners. Recovery work loads a chassis unevenly and at odd angles — single wide wheels keep the contact patch and the track width predictable while the crane is out.
Vehicles shown are customer and partner builds photographed with DBL Design wheels, axles and conversion hardware fitted. Body, armor and mission equipment are supplied by the respective upfitters.

Built for Every Mission
Tactical Entry & Extraction
Ladder and platform trucks that have to arrive stable, deploy on outriggers and hold a crew at height.
Communications & SATCOM
Antenna, radar and shelter bodies that put weight high on the chassis and park for long duty cycles.
Armored & Command
Armor packages and command shelters where curb weight climbs well past what factory duals carry comfortably.
Recovery & Wrecker
Crane and winch trucks pulling at odd angles, where track width and traction decide whether the recovery works.

From Requirement to Rolling Chassis
01
Define the Mission
Platform, finished weight, body equipment, terrain and duty cycle. Bring the upfitter into the conversation early.
02
Spec the Chassis
We size axles, gears, wheels, tires and suspension to the loaded number, and flag what to order on the base chassis.
03
Convert & Install
Work is done in Hurst, Texas or through the certified installer network, whichever is closer to the fleet.
04
Support in Service
Spares, O-rings, hardware and install videos so a crew can service wheels and drivetrain in the field.
Street Legal, Not Just Off-Road
DBL super single wheels are DOT and NHTSA compliant (DOT code FXP #03T), so converted vehicles stay road legal between missions. See the warranty terms or find an installer near your base.
